1. Introduction

Welcome to the JAH Network Membership. By becoming a member of the JAH Network, which includes the categories of ISCM Member, ISCM+WFAS Member, and Hall of Fame Member, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your membership registration.

2. Membership Categories

2.1 ISCM Member

    •    Description: Membership in the International Society of Chinese Medicine (ISCM) is intended for individuals or organizations with a professional or academic interest in systems medicine and acupuncture.
    Eligibility Criteria:
    •    A recognized academic or professional background in Chinese or systems medicine.
    •    Submission of a completed membership application and any required supporting documents.
    •    Membership Fee: $100 annually.
    Benefits:
    •    Access to JAH publications.
    •    Discounts on ISCM-hosted conferences and workshops.
    •    Inclusion in the ISCM member directory.

2.2 ISCM+WFAS Member

    •    Description: Joint membership in ISCM and the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), offering enhanced opportunities in the global acupuncture community.
    Eligibility Criteria:
    •    Must meet ISCM Member criteria.
    •    Additional recommendation letter or certification from a WFAS-affiliated organization.
    •    Membership Fee: $150 annually.
    Benefits:
    •    All ISCM Member benefits.
    •    Free or discounted access to WFAS international conferences and publications.
    •    Networking opportunities through WFAS global events.

2.3 Hall of Fame Member

    •    Description: Exclusive membership awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to Chinese medicine, systems medicine, or acupuncture practices globally.
    Eligibility Criteria:
    •    By invitation only, based on contributions to the field as determined by the JAH Network Selection Committee.
    •    Membership Fee: Waived.
    Benefits:
    •    Lifetime access to all ISCM and WFAS events and publications.
    •    Recognition in the JAH Hall of Fame with a featured profile on the website.
    •    Special speaking opportunities at ISCM and WFAS conferences.

3. Application and Renewal

    3.1    Application Process:
    •    Applicants must submit a completed online membership form and any required supporting documentation.
    •    Membership approval is subject to review by the JAH Network Membership Committee.
    3.2    Renewal:
    •    Membership is valid for one calendar year.
    •    Renewal notifications will be sent 30 days before expiration.
    •    Members failing to renew within the grace period of 15 days will lose access to benefits until the membership is reinstated.

4. Membership Fees and Payment

    4.1    Fee Payment:
    •    Membership fees are payable in USD.
    •    Payments can be made via credit/debit cards, PayPal, WeChat, or Alipay.
    •    All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
    4.2    Discounts:
    •    Discounts may be available for group memberships, students, or special events as announced by ISCM or WFAS.

5. Member Responsibilities

    5.1    Code of Conduct:
    •    Members must uphold the ethical standards and professional integrity of ISCM and WFAS.
    •    Discriminatory, unlawful, or unethical behavior may result in membership termination.
    5.2    Accurate Information:
    •    Members are responsible for providing accurate and updated personal information for membership processing and communications.
    5.3    Compliance:
    •    Members must comply with all terms, including applicable laws and the guidelines of ISCM and WFAS.

6. Membership Termination

    6.1    Voluntary Termination:
    •    Members may terminate their membership at any time by notifying the JAH Network Membership Team in writing.
    6.2    Involuntary Termination:
    •    JAH reserves the right to revoke membership for violations of this agreement, non-payment of fees, or behavior that undermines the objectives of ISCM and WFAS.

7. Liability Disclaimer

    7.1    Limited Liability:
    •    ISCM, WFAS, and the JAH Network shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of membership benefits or participation in events.
    7.2    No Guarantee:
    •    Membership does not guarantee specific outcomes such as academic recognition or professional advancement.

8. Modifications to Terms

    8.1.    Changes to Terms:
    •    JAH Network reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Members will be notified of changes 30 days prior to their implementation.
    8.2    Continued Membership:
    •    Continued use of membership benefits after changes are effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
